Welsh Stone House

Welsh Stone House

The property is of a Welsh stone construction under a Welsh slate roof. The property offers two bedrooms accommodating up to four guests.

Welsh Stone House was built around 1860 to house local slate quarry workers and their families.

Recently fitted with a brand new central heating system along with double glazed doors & windows a multi fuel stove with soft lighting all add to the accommodations cosy feel.

The property is located within the traditional Welsh village of Trawsfynydd located within the county of Gwynedd deep within the heart of the iconic Snowdonia National Park.

The beautiful Lyn Trawsfynydd lake is a mere 10 minute walk from the property. The lake provides for an 8 mile walk around its perimeter offering beautiful views of rolling fields, dry stone walls, a dam, lake side cafe and of course lots of sheep, cows and horses.

There are two well stocked shops within the village along with a pharmacy and a petrol station all within a 5 minute walk. The local village pub is the Cross Foxes which is under new ownership and just undergone a full refurbishment. Three other nearby pubs would be the Grapes Hotel, Oakley Arms Hotel and the Bryn Arms these three being a short 10 minute drive from the property. All four pubs serve decent food at affordable prices with a friendly service.

The property is ideally placed within the National Park enabling guests to visit local attractions including Mountains, Lakes, Coastlines, Castles, Steam Trains, Zip Worlds, Slate Mines, Dams & Waterfalls along with some beautiful little Welsh villages whilst keeping your driving to a minimum. In my opinion North Wales is becoming the number one UK destination for out door adventures.
