Quarryman’s Cottage

The cottage is of a Welsh stone construction under a Welsh slate roof with exposed beams in the lounge. The cottage offers two bedrooms accommodating up to four guests. The property has central heating with double glazed units fitted.

The cottage was built around 1840 to house local slate quarry workers and their families.

The property is located on the boundaries of the village of Trawsfynydd in the county of Gwynedd deep within the heart of the iconic Snowdonia National Park.

The beautiful Lyn Trawsfynydd is a mere 10 minute walk from the cottage. The lake provides for an 8 mile walk around its perimeter offering beautiful views of rolling fields, dry stone walls, lake side cafe all with a mountainous backdrop and of course a lot of sheep, cows and horses.

There are two village shops a pharmacy and a petrol station all within a 5 minute walk. The local pubs would be the Oakley Arms Hotel which is a 10 minute drive from the cottage. The Oakley serve decent food at affordable prices with a friendly service. The Grapes hotel is also an excellent pub again offering excellent food at competitive prices with a prompt service. The local village pub is the Cross Foxes which is currently under new ownership and awaiting a refurbishment.

The property is ideally placed within the Park to enable guests to visit local attractions including Mountains, Lakes, Coastlines, Castles, Steam Trains, Zip Worlds, Slate Mines, Dams, Waterfalls, Towns etc etc whilst keeping your driving to a minimum. In my opinion North Wales has become the number one UK destination for out door adventures.
